At work, I have distinction as the lucky person whose office is directly across from the server room. This is lucky because they don’t make much noise, and they’ve got “Meatlocker Cold AC!” (Unlike my car.) Some time this weekend, my luck um… overheated? Our air conditioning broke down. We spent the morning basking in server alarms and radiated heat. I’m currently welcoming donations of ice water, cold caffeine… wait, that’s not news. I’m always welcoming caffeine….
In slightly more seriousness, aside from the heat, is this how people with tinnitus live all the time? With an aural equivalent of chinese water torture? After only five hours, I don’t think I’ve earned bitching rights. After so short a time with that, I think all I get is to be thankful my ears work normally.
