Made a vanilla ice cream recipe from my great-grandmother’s cookbook last week… and found modern ice cream maker (a Christmas present from Dean, which fits on to my stand mixer) was wayyy too small. After halving the recipe, the amount poured in was so much, it overwhelmed the ice cream maker’s freezing ability. I made vanilla soup, and froze it afterward instead.
In my defense, it was very tasty vanilla soup. Oh well, next time I’ll try a quarter of the recpie.
